How to unlock a PDF

  4. Download — Download the rebuilt PDF without the open password.

FAQ

Can this recover a forgotten password?
No. You need the password that opens the PDF.
Is my password uploaded?
No. It is used only in this browser tab while creating the unlocked copy.
Why does an unlocked PDF still have restrictions in some readers?
Some readers cache file state or enforce signature policies. Save the exported file under a new name and reopen it.
